What are the cultivation methods and precautions of Ixora

Cultivation method of Ixora

Ixora belongs to the Rubiaceae family. When propagating, it is generally propagated by sowing and cuttings. It prefers a high temperature and humid growing environment. It needs sufficient sunlight during maintenance and the temperature should be kept between 15-25 degrees. Acidic soil is used when planting.

Watering method

In spring and autumn, the Ixora is usually watered once every 2-3 days. In summer, the amount of watering needs to be increased appropriately, generally once a day. In winter, it needs to be watered appropriately, once every ten days, to avoid water accumulation.

Fertilization method

During the growing period, the dragon boat flower needs to be fertilized in an appropriate amount, generally once every 30-40 days. Organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer can be used, and ferrous sulfate solution can also be watered to acidify the soil.

Pruning methods

When caring for the Ipomoea aquatica, it is necessary to carry out pruning work in a timely manner and cut off some diseased and weak branches. This can save nutrients and also promote the sprouting of new branches.

Precautions for cultivating Ixora

When cultivating the Ixora, you need to pay attention to the suitable growth temperature. Normally, the temperature needs to be kept between 15-25 degrees. In winter, the temperature needs to be kept above 15 degrees to avoid frostbite. Some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers need to be applied before flowering.
