Sunflowers are generally planted between May and August, so that the survival rate will be higher, because this time is the stage of vigorous growth of the plant, and the cut cuttings have strong germination ability and are easier to root.

Propagation of sunflower by division

For the propagation of sunflowers by division, you need to select well-grown plants, divide them into small bags, and keep the row spacing at 30 cm. The distance between planting plants needs to be seven to ten centimeters.

Sunflower cutting propagation

When propagating sunflowers by cuttings, double petals are generally used. Cuttings are carried out in the summer. Cut branches can be used, and wilted stems can also be used. After they come alive, they will have flower buds.

Sunflower sowing propagation

When propagating sunflowers by sowing, the method usually adopted is to sow them on the seedling tray and slightly cover them with fine vermiculite, or to press them slightly tightly after sowing the seeds to ensure sufficient moisture.

Sunflower breeding precautions

When propagating sunflowers, you need to pay attention to the fact that they need sufficient sunlight during maintenance, and do not need shade in summer. The temperature must be kept between 26-29 degrees, otherwise they will stop growing.
