Ranunculus prefers shade or sun

Anemone is easy to grow and does not require too much energy. It can also be grown at home. Because it is a semi-shade plant, it likes to grow in a cool environment and cannot be exposed to strong sunlight. It only needs a few hours of scattered light every day.

Does Ranunculus like the sun?

Anemones do not like sunlight very much and do not have high requirements for sunlight. Anemones cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. During its growth period, more scattered light is enough for it to grow well.

Anthus can be exposed to the sun in the summer, but not too much or for too long. Too much exposure will burn its leaves and flowers. If the leaves turn yellow or the flowers wither, they need to be moved to a cool place as soon as possible.

Is Ranunculus shade tolerant?

Anemone is a semi-shade plant, so it can be planted directly in a cool place, but it cannot be deprived of sunlight. If there is no scattered light, it will hinder its growth and development. It is suitable to be placed in the shade of the house when cultivating it.

Ranunculus growth environment

Anemone should be planted in well-drained, fertile and loose neutral or alkaline soil. The suitable growth temperature is around 20℃ during the day and 7-10℃ at night. The minimum temperature cannot be below 0 degrees.

Anemone is relatively drought-resistant but afraid of waterlogging. During the peak growth period, it is necessary to ensure sufficient water supply and water it once a day. However, in summer, it is necessary to control and reduce watering, otherwise the roots will easily rot. Just spray some water.
