Causes and treatments for severe yellowing leaves

1. Improper watering

Reason: The heavy fan plant requires more water during its growth period, so the amount of watering needs to be increased appropriately to keep the soil in the pot moist. If you don't water it enough at this time, it will be detrimental to its growth and cause yellow leaves. Winter is its dormant period. It is not advisable to water too much at this time, especially to prevent water accumulation, otherwise the roots will easily rot and cause yellow leaves.

Measures: If the problem is due to insufficient watering, increase the amount of watering and water thoroughly. If it is due to over-watering, you should reduce watering, drain the water, loosen the soil, and place it in a sunny and ventilated place to promote water evaporation.

2. Lack of light

Reason: The double fan plant likes light and needs to grow in a place with sufficient light. If the maintenance environment is dark and lacks light, it will be not conducive to its growth. Over time, the leaves will slowly turn yellow.

Measures: Move it to a place with full sun and sufficient light for maintenance, and the yellow leaf problem will gradually improve.

3. Lack of nutrients

Reason: The growth of heavy fans requires some nutrients to be provided through fertilizers. If there is insufficient nutrients, the growth will be slow and some old leaves will gradually turn yellow.

Measures: Add fertilizer in time, and you can use special fertilizer for growing succulents. During its growing season, apply thin fertilizer once every half month on average.

4. The temperature is too low

Reason: The heavy fan is not cold-resistant, and the temperature of its growing environment is best controlled between 18 and 25 degrees. If the temperature is too low, it will be frozen and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: When the temperature is below ten degrees in winter, it needs to be moved to a sunny place indoors for maintenance.
