Prepare the potting soil before planting. The planting time is usually March. In areas with lower temperatures, seeds can be sown indoors.

Water the potting soil thoroughly and leave it for 1 to 2 days before sowing.

Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the soil surface and cover with 1 to 2 cm of soil. No need to water, you can cover the pot with plastic film to increase humidity.

Outdoor potted plants are usually sown in August. Prepare the potting soil in advance, choose soil with good drainage, looseness and fertility, and add a small amount of organic fertilizer to the soil. Water thoroughly and set aside.

Sprinkle the seeds evenly in the pot and cover with 1-2 cm of fine sand. After 2-3 days, cover with another layer of fine sand. They will germinate after 6-7 days and grow into seedlings in 10 days.

If it rains, you should cover it with another layer of soil to avoid rain. In late September, 5 to 6 leaves will grow, and the plant can be moved indoors for maintenance.

Cutting propagation

Select healthy plants, cut 12-15 cm branches in June and July, and place them in a cool place.

Prepare the potting soil and insert the branches into the pot, usually 1 to 2 branches per pot. Water and shade immediately after insertion to reduce water evaporation. Ensure the temperature is around 20℃ and spray water 2 to 3 times during the day.

The branches will take root and sprout in 3 to 5 days, and then they can be gradually moved to the sun.
