Peach blossoms are suitable for growing in warm and ventilated places. They originally grew in central or northern China, and are now cultivated everywhere. Peach blossoms like light, fertile and well-drained soil, are not water-resistant, like high temperatures in summer, have a certain degree of cold resistance, and can be cultivated except in extremely cold areas.

The average annual temperature suitable for planting southern variety groups is 12-17℃, and that for northern variety groups is 8-14℃. The optimum temperature for peach tree growth is 18-23℃. Peaches have a certain degree of cold resistance, and most varieties can withstand low temperatures of -25 to -22℃.

Peach blossoms do not have high requirements for water. To cultivate peach blossoms, you need to master the principle of wetting when the soil is dry, and then judge whether to water according to the humidity of the soil. Peach blossoms are extremely intolerant of moisture, so you must pay special attention when watering in winter. Watering once throughout the winter is enough.

It is not advisable to grow peach blossoms in alkaline soil. It is best to use light loam for maintenance. You can also use a mixture of leaf mold, river sand, garden soil and a little base fertilizer. You can also use nutrient soil directly for maintenance.

Peach blossom growth cycle and process

The peach blossom blooms from March to April, and the fruit ripening period varies depending on the variety, usually from August to September. The peach blossom season starts in March every year and lasts for about 15 days.

Generally speaking, peach blossoms begin to bloom around March 10th every year. Around mid-March, the weather gradually warms up and the peach blossoms enter their peak flowering period. After late March, the weather generally warms up and the flowers begin to slowly wither and enter the flower-saving period.
