Environmental conditions and requirements for the growth of Wogan

Wogan is a hybrid citrus fruit native to southern my country. It prefers a warm, humid and well-lit growing environment. It has relatively high requirements for temperature, sunlight and water, and has moderate cold resistance.

Wogan Growth Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Wogan is above 17℃. The plant is not cold-resistant. When the temperature is below 0℃, the growth of the plant slows down. When the temperature is below -5℃, the plant will show symptoms of freezing.

Humidity for growing mandarin oranges

Wogan prefers a humid growing environment. The relative moisture content of the soil should be between 60% and 80%, the air humidity should be above 75%, and the annual rainfall in the planting area should be around 1,000 mm.

Soil for growing mandarin oranges

The soil requirements for Wogan are not high and it can be grown in both dry land and paddy fields. If planted in mountains, the slope of the planting site must be below 15° and there must be irrigation water near the planting site.

Wogan Growth Cycle and Process

The Wogan orange generally starts to bloom and bear fruit one year after planting. Its growth goes through several stages including seedling stage, growth stage, flowering stage, fruit drop stage, and maturity stage. Its spring bud sprouting period is about 10 days later than that of ordinary citrus. Flower buds begin to differentiate in November, and the fruit matures in March-April of the second year.
