Bamboo growth environment conditions and characteristics

Bamboo growth environment conditions and requirements

There are many varieties of bamboo, which are widely distributed around the world, mainly found in tropical and subtropical regions. It is a shallow-rooted plant that has relatively high requirements for water and temperature, and prefers a growing environment with abundant rainfall and stable heat.

Bamboo growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for mangosteen is 16-25℃. The plant likes a warm environment. Too high or too low temperature will cause poor growth of bamboo. The plant has good cold resistance and can withstand temperatures of -20℃.

Bamboo growth humidity

Bamboo prefers a humid growing environment. Generally, it needs to be watered every 1-2 days to keep the soil moist but without water accumulation. When the air is dry, it is also necessary to spray water appropriately to keep it moist.

Bamboo growing soil

Bamboo likes loose, breathable, slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter. When caring for it, you can buy special soil, or you can mix garden soil, leaf mold, and river sand.

Bamboo Growth Cycle and Process

The growth of bamboo is a kind of asexual reproduction and vegetative growth. One cycle is about 60 years. The growth of the plant is divided into four stages: seedling stage, leaf growth stage, flowering and fruiting stage, and withering and death stage.
