Seafood shells are used as flower fertilizer, simple and easy to use

Method 1: Softer crab gills and shrimp heads

collect

When eating crab, shrimp, or scallops, collect the soft parts.

Soil covering and composting

Find an empty flowerpot, fill the bottom with a layer of soil, then put in crab gills, shrimp heads, etc., and then cover it with another layer of soil.

Pest control

Place the flower pot containing these seafood shells in a well-lit and ventilated place and wait for them to ferment. If you are worried about attracting insects, you can put DDT or insecticide inside and then cover it with soil.

How to use

Generally speaking, these things can be fermented in a few weeks. Then you can mix the soil evenly and use it to plant flowers directly.

Method 2: Harder crab shells and shrimp shells

collect

Crab shells, shrimp shells, snail shells, etc. are relatively hard and can be collected and put together to make fertilizer.

Stir-fry and crush

Put the collected crab shells, shrimp shells, and snail shells in a wok and stir-fry over low heat, crushing or mashing them as they cool. After they cool, crush them with your feet or grind them into powder.

Sunbathing

Crushed or ground crab shells and shrimp shells can be placed in the sun to dry and can be used to grow flowers in a few days.

How to use

When planting flowers, sprinkle a layer of powder directly on the bottom of the pot. It has good fertility and is loose and breathable, preventing root rot.

Alternatively, you can directly mix crab shell or shrimp shell powder into the surface of the pot or soil.
