When to plant zucchini outdoors

Planting time in the north and south: The time for open-air planting of zucchini in the north and south is different. In the north, it can be planted in the open field in May and June, while in the south, it can be planted in March.

Greenhouse planting time: Zucchini is generally planted in April and May, but it can be planted about a month earlier in greenhouses.

Zucchini is cultivated throughout China, with the main producing areas being Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Anhui, Jiangxi, Taiwan and other provinces.

Hebei Zucchini

Hebei zucchini is generally sown in May and June, with a growth cycle of about 7 months. The fruit is white and tender, and rich in amino acids and other substances.

Anhui Zucchini

Anhui is rich in golden zucchini, the fruit is orange-red in color and is mostly sown in March. The growing period is about 78 days, and the flesh is tender, crisp and sweet.

Early green zucchini

Early green zucchini can be planted in April, with a growth cycle of about 45 days. It has a relatively short appearance, a slightly sweet taste, and very delicate flesh.

Zucchini

Variegated zucchini is mostly grown in the north, and the sowing time is May to June. It has a tender taste, high quality, and the plant has strong cold resistance.
