How to plant forget-me-not seeds

How to plant forget-me-not seeds

1. Seed selection and processing

Choose seeds of good quality so that they will germinate easily when sown. Seeds that have been bitten by insects should be discarded directly. Among all the seeds, choose the fuller ones and discard the shriveled ones. After the seeds are selected, they must be germinated before sowing. There are three specific methods. It can be soaked in water for about six hours. If there is gibberellin, then only soaking for half an hour is required. You can also wet two layers of paper towels, then put the seeds in them and place them in a cool place.

2. Selecting the Matrix

The choice of substrate is as important as the choice of seeds. Choose breathable, loose, fertile soil, and according to the habits of forget-me-nots, it is best to use alkaline soil.

3. Sowing

After all the above preparations are completed, you can start sowing. Place the substrate into the container and then spread the seeds evenly. After that, you need to cover them with a layer of soil to prevent the seeds from being exposed to light and causing them to not germinate.

4. Post-maintenance

Mainly ensure temperature and humidity. The temperature is around 25 degrees, but it is best not to exceed 25 degrees. Too high a temperature is also not conducive to germination. Then there is humidity, to ensure that the substrate is in a suitable moist state. It takes about half a month for the seeds to germinate.
