How to water cloud bamboo

1. Precautions for watering

The root system of cloud bamboo is fleshy and is particularly afraid of waterlogging. When watering, the soil in the pot should be kept slightly moist and not too dry. If the plant is too dry, its twigs and true leaves will turn yellow and fall off. The root system cannot be in a state of waterlogging for a long time, so the amount of watering should not be too much.

When watering during normal maintenance, avoid watering halfway. If the flowerpot is already dry and the amount of water is insufficient when watering, the roots at the bottom will be injured, which will manifest as yellowing of the upper branches.

2. Watering Methods

Watering cloud bamboo is a delicate job. The frequency and amount of watering should be determined according to different environments, seasons, pot sizes and soils. Its water storage capacity varies in different seasons.

1. Spring: In spring, new buds sprout and grow rapidly, and the demand for water is relatively high, so watering is required in time. In summer, the temperature is high and the humidity is also high, so watering should be controlled.

2. Summer: Pay attention to rain in summer. If there is too much rainfall, prevent water from accumulating in the pot.

3. Autumn: Watering should also be controlled in autumn to make it grow stronger so that it can survive the winter.

4. Winter: The temperature is too low in winter, the growth is slow and the water storage capacity is reduced, but the potting soil must still be slightly moist, otherwise the root system will be damaged.
