"Rose" soaked in water, took root in one month, and the flowers bloomed better than red roses

Huahua told the friend, of course!

Well, today, Huahua would like to take this opportunity to talk to you about how to hydroponically propagate rose cuttings.

Whether it is hydroponics or soil cultivation, the first step is of course to find branches that need to be cut for the rose. When choosing branches, be sure to choose those rose branches that are relatively healthy and sturdy, and they must be grown in the same year. We cut the branches into small pieces of about ten centimeters and remove the petioles.

Then place the branches in a container of water. Novice friends may not be clear about how deep the branches should be inserted to reach a reasonable and appropriate position. Huahua will tell you here that generally, cutting propagation is to place one-third of the branches into water or soil. If the mouth of the container cannot support the vertical growth of the branches, we can use foam board.

When we are propagating rose cuttings, we should be careful not to use transparent containers. During the rooting process of the roses, we need to provide some shading for the plants. If the light is too strong, it will prolong the rooting of the plants.

When propagating by cuttings, you should also remember to change the water of the rose once a week. Whether it is shading the plant or changing the water, it is to allow the rose to take root and grow better. Everyone should pay attention to these two points.

It takes about a month for the rose to take root. After taking root, the rose needs to be transferred into the soil to survive and grow better. Don’t panic, novice friends. Transplantation is not difficult. We can slowly add soil to the water. At the beginning, there is a lot of water in the soil, which is about half dry and half wet. Then gradually add soil until it is all soil.

This will allow the transplant to be successful. Even if the roses have been successfully transplanted, do not place them directly under the sun, let alone expose them to direct sunlight. After keeping it in a cool place for about a week, you can give the rose some sunlight.

This is the method of hydroponic rose cuttings. In fact, Huahua feels that hydroponics is no simpler than soil cultivation because it involves the issue of transplantation later. But if some friends still like the hydroponic method, they can also refer to Huahua’s article.

When the rose grows into a potted plant, it will be so beautiful when it blooms!

<<:  Autumn is here. If you don’t repot your plants, they won’t even survive the winter!

>>:  If you cut the branches of a pomegranate once, it will take root in 15 days and you will have more fruits than you can eat when it grows up.
