If you do this with succulent baskets, the return rate will be 100%!

Every time I see the unique shapes of succulents, Huahua feels itchy in her heart. Today, let’s take a look at those succulents in unique basket shapes!

How to make a succulent flower basket?

1. Cut off the head of the succulent, and then place it in a cool and ventilated place for 2-3 days to allow the wound to dry.

2. Prepare a flower basket to plant succulents. Huahua suggests that you should prepare a larger flower basket so that the succulents will not be too crowded and there will be enough space for them to grow in the basket. Place a layer of plastic bag at the bottom of the flower basket and poke a few holes in the bag. It would be better if there is non-woven fabric.

3. Fill the flower basket with soil. It is best to choose loose and breathable nutrient soil. You can mix peat soil, coconut coir, perlite, coal slag, etc. as soil. Of course, you can also add 2-3 slow-release fertilizers into the soil.

4. In order to make the succulent flower basket look better, we finally need to lay a layer of small stones on the surface of the pot, such as chlorite or rainbow stone.

5. Plant the succulents in the flower basket. Of course, you can plant them however you like! Huahua’s suggestion is to place the large succulents that grow horizontally, such as Sedum and Echeveria, in the middle, and those that easily overflow the pot on the side. The more colors the better!

6. Plant the succulents and give them a little water after 3 days. Be careful to only spray a little water on the surface of the pot. If there are succulents that particularly like water, they are usually planted next to the basket. Giving them a little more water will not affect other succulents.

7. It only takes about 2 weeks for succulents planted in flower baskets to take root! Before the succulents take root, it is best to keep them in a cool and ventilated place. After the roots grow out, place them directly in a place with sufficient light and let the succulents bask in the sun!
