How to grow lucky bamboo to make it more vigorous

1. Suitable temperature

The suitable temperature for the growth of lucky bamboo is 10 to 25 degrees Celsius. Too low a temperature will cause frost damage. The first manifestation is yellowing of the leaves. High temperatures above 30 degrees will also inhibit its growth.

2. Proper lighting

Lucky bamboo is a plant that prefers semi-shade and cannot tolerate direct sunlight, so it cannot be placed in direct sunlight or where the light is too bright, otherwise it will be sunburned yellow.

3. Water culture and water change

For lucky bamboo grown in water, you can use tap water, purified water or boiled water. If you use tap water, it is best to air it in the sun for two or three days before use.

When growing it in water, it is recommended not to change the water too frequently. Frequent water changes will damage the environment around its growing roots, injuring the roots and causing yellowing of the leaves. Generally speaking, you can add water every day to maintain the water level, and change the water every two or three months. When changing the water, you can use a straw to extract impurities at the bottom. The amount of water changed should not exceed half of the original water, and then add new water. Generally, the amount of water added should not exceed 15 centimeters. Do not let it be buried in water too much, otherwise the root system will be easily inhibited. Some leaves inserted in the water should be removed to prevent leaf rot and affect the water quality.

4. Soil suitability

If you want to make lucky bamboo grow luxuriantly in soil, you need loose and fertile soil. You can mix garden soil and leaf mold in a 1:1 ratio for planting.

5. Reasonable fertilization

Lucky bamboo likes fertilizer. Apply thin liquid fertilizer every 10 to 15 days during the growing season, and change the soil every one to two years. When changing the soil, add decomposed organic fertilizer to the soil as base fertilizer.
