How to grow Anthurium more vigorously

How to grow Anthurium more vigorously

1. Appropriate lighting

It likes to grow in places with lots of light, but not in high temperatures or with strong direct sunlight. So when raising it, it is best to place it in a place with sufficient diffuse light.

2. Keep the soil moist

It likes moist places, but there should not be stagnant water in the pot. When watering it, make sure the soil in the pot is properly moist. If you want to water it again, you need to wait until the surface of the soil is dry. In addition, you can often spray water mist on its leaves to increase the air humidity, so that it can grow better, but when the temperature is low, water less, otherwise it will cause the roots to rot.

3. Apply thin fertilizer frequently

It likes fertilizer very much, so you need to add some fertilizer to it. The best time is once every half a month. Usually we will add some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to it before flowering, either in the morning or evening. Then in the winter, its growth slows down and fertilization can be extended to once a month.

4. Slightly acidic soil

When growing it, slightly acidic soil would be more suitable for its growth. In addition, the soil should be fertile and well-drained, because soil that easily accumulates water is not suitable for its growth. Especially when the soil is compacted, the soil should be changed in time.

5. Aerial roots cannot be buried

As it grows slowly, many aerial roots will grow and stay above the soil. These aerial roots can enable it to absorb more nutrients, so do not bury it with soil.
