How to propagate mountain roses

1. Seed propagation

It is best to sow seeds in autumn. Just place the seeds in new potting soil. There is no need to dig holes for planting, nor to cover the seeds with soil. Just place the seeds directly on moist soil, then use the pot immersion method, control the temperature, and they will germinate after about 5 to 10 days.

2. Division propagation

The best time for division propagation is late spring or autumn. Select side branches and gently separate them from the roots of the main branches. Then wait for them to dry in the shade, transplant them into potting soil, water them with a small amount, and wait for them to sprout and take root.

3. Beheading and breeding

In autumn, use dental floss to separate the base from the branches and remove the flower heads. After taking down the mountain rose from the shade and cutting it, you can plant it in a new potting soil.
