What can be used instead of nutrient solution?

1. Fruits, peels, eggshells, etc.

(1) Materials: There are many materials available. For example, leftover fruits, peels, oranges, bananas, and apples are all fine. You can also use egg shells, bones of various animals, leftover milk, and rice. Rotten vegetable roots and leaves can also be used.

(2) Method: Put all the collected ingredients in a pot and cook for about 40 minutes. Then take the clear liquid above and use it to replace the nutrient solution.

(3) Note: These ingredients have peculiar smells that are difficult to remove after cooking, so it is best not to use a pot that is too fine. In addition, it is best to make a larger quantity at one time so that you can save it if you don’t use it, and you don’t have to make it often.

2. Soybeans with water and exposed to the sun

(1) Preparation steps: Take out an appropriate amount of soybeans and put them into a glass cup. Add water in moderation and not too slowly, leaving some space. Then, place the cup in the sun to dry. After two to three days, we can observe a lot of gas coming out of the soybeans. After about twenty days, the water will become very turbid. That's about it. This water can be used to replace nutrient solution, which is very effective and natural and pollution-free.

(2) Note: This water cannot be used directly on the plants, as it may burn the plants. It needs to be diluted and a lot of water added.
