How to breed bear paw

How to breed bear paw

1. Bud cutting propagation

This method has a higher survival rate. Remove the young shoots from the healthy plants, place them in a cool place for 1-2 days, or treat the wounds with wood ash, and then insert them into the potting soil. Before roots grow, do not place it in direct sunlight, and do not pick up the branches frequently to observe the rooting situation.

2. Leaf cutting propagation

The best time for cuttings is spring and autumn, and winter is also acceptable, but try not to choose summer for cuttings, because summer is its dormant period and the rooting rate is low.

Choose healthy and full branches, keep 4-6 leaves, place them in a cool and ventilated place for 1-3 days, wait for the wound to dry, and then insert them into the soil. Use a mixture of peat soil, perlite and rice husk charcoal, to which you can add fungicides to prevent bacteria from causing branch rot. Try not to water during the cutting stage, or water along the edge of the pot.

The cutting temperature is 15-20℃, and direct sunlight is also prohibited during the cutting process.

3. Seed propagation

Choose peat soil and leech soil as soil media, scatter the seeds of Bear's Paw in the flower pots, and water them slightly so as not to submerge the seeds. Then cover it with a glass lid and place it in a light-proof place. After a few days, you will see the white part of the seeds emerge. At this time, you can use tweezers to move the seeds into the pot.
