How to grow passion fruit from seeds?

1. First, place the passion fruit in a ventilated place for about a week, then cut it open and remove the seeds.

2. Passion fruit seeds are very similar to watermelon seeds. After taking them out, wash them with water first, then take them out and dry them for 1 to 2 days.

3. Place the passion fruit seeds on a wet paper towel to germinate and place them in a shaded location. It will take about 2 to 3 days.

4. Passion fruit seedlings can be grown in sand or nutrient soil. Don't bury it too deep, about 0.5 to 1 cm deep will be enough. Remember to spray water to moisturize every day.

5. After sowing, place the flower pot in a location with diffuse light. In about 2 weeks, the passion fruit seeds will sprout.

6. When the seedlings grow to about 10 cm high, you can pull out some weak seedlings and leave only a few strong seedlings.

7. If the passion fruit vine has grown quite long, you can build a flower rack to guide it to climb.

8. You can apply compound fertilizer once during the growing season to provide nutrients for flowering and fruiting.

9. If your balcony is small, you can use scissors to prune to control the height of the plants and promote the growth of side branches.

10. If you plant passion fruit in spring, it will bloom around June or July in summer. Each flower only blooms for one day, so if there are no bees on your indoor balcony to pollinate, you will have to do it yourself.

11. It is best to pollinate in the morning. Use a cotton swab or paper towel to dip the pollen on the stamen and apply it to the pistil.

12. If pollination is successful, small fruits can be seen after 3 days. Passion fruit can bear fruit about 2 to 3 times a year, and each tree can produce more than 10 fruits at a time.

13. When the fruits are ripe, you can pick them and eat them!
