To plant succulent plants in pots, just rely on this 10-word mantra and they will grow quickly and fill the pots!

To plant succulent plants in pots, just rely on this 10-word mantra and they will grow quickly and fill the pots!

Remember this 10-word formula, and you will get a big harvest if you grow one pot of flowers

After the succulent plant was repotted, it soon showed signs of leaves becoming soft and roots rotting. In fact, most of the reasons are due to the soil! There is a saying about repotting for flowers, which is "moist soil is good for rooting, wet soil is easy for bacteria to grow". How to do it specifically? Huahua will explain the complete repotting process to you in detail!

Prune the roots to make the meat healthier

Some flower lovers asked Huahua why it is necessary to trim the roots when repotting. This is to clean up the useless rotten and old roots so that the succulents can produce more healthy root systems so that they can grow faster! How to repair the roots specifically? Come and have a look!

1. Remove the succulent from the pot and clean the soil

After removing the succulent from the pot, first gently remove some of the soil with your hands, and then brush off the remaining soil with a small brush, being careful not to damage the healthy roots. Check carefully whether there are pests such as scale insects in the soil and whether the root system is healthy.

2. Cut off dead and rotten roots

After the soil is cleaned off, all the roots can be clearly seen. Prune off the old and rotten roots to prevent them from rotting in the soil after repotting, causing the succulent to suffer from black rot and be infected by bacteria. If there are dead leaves on the branches, cut them off as well.

3. Apply carbendazim dry powder to the roots

After the root pruning is completed, especially the roots with rotten roots, diseases and insect pests, apply some carbendazim dry powder on the roots, and then put them in a ventilated and cool place to dry for 1 day. If it is an old succulent plant, it will take more than 3 days to allow the wound to heal completely.

When potting, remember that "moist soil is good for rooting, wet soil is easy to grow bacteria"

After the roots of the succulents have been trimmed and the wounds have dried, the next step is to pot them. If this step is done wrong, the previous pruning will be in vain. Therefore, flower lovers should remember that "moist soil is good for rooting, while wet soil is prone to bacteria growth"! This is how Huahua did it, look!

1. Prepare tidal soil

Mix river sand, pine needle soil and bone residue. Take an appropriate amount of carbendazim, add 100 times the amount of water, put it in a spray bottle, and spray the soil wet, but be careful not to make it too wet. Wearing gloves, grab a handful of soil and squeeze it into a ball. Once you let go, it will all fall apart!

2. Put the plant in a pot and do not water it within 7 days

Plant the succulent in the soil and do not water it within 7 days to prevent root rot. Place it in a ventilated, cool place with scattered light and avoid direct sunlight or rain. After 7 days, take a small amount of clean water and pour it along the edge of the pot to make the soil slightly moist.

3. After 10-15 days, the uterus will be acclimatized.

After potting, wait for 10 to 15 days for it to acclimate. Then you can water it thoroughly and place it in the sun for maintenance, but do not expose it to direct sunlight for the first 3 days after acclimatization!

4. Succulents burst out of their pots and become big fat plants

Potting in this way can make the roots grow more and better, and can also prevent root rot, making the succulent grow fat quickly, and you no longer have to worry about "death from repotting"!
