How to grow gardenia well

How to grow gardenia well

1. Soil

For gardenia, the soil environment is very important because it has its preferences. It likes a slightly acidic growing environment, so we have to choose the right soil before planting flowers. Generally, we need to control the pH value of flower soil in the range of 4.0 to 6.5.

2. Temperature

We also need to control the temperature. Its best growth temperature is between 16 and 18 degrees. Because the temperature is critical, we must maintain it well. Without suitable temperature, the growth of gardenia will be hindered. In addition, we also need to pay attention to ventilation conditions and maintain good ventilation to allow it to grow well.

3. Moisture

We need to remember to water it regularly and also remember to sprinkle some water on its leaves, which will help us grow gardenia well. In addition, we also need to adjust the humidity in the air. Of course, if it is winter, the difficulty of growing gardenia will increase. We must remember not to water it too much, so as to avoid the root rot of gardenia.

4. Lighting

Because gardenia loves light, we must provide it with sufficient light. In spring and autumn, we can increase the light exposure time appropriately so that it can grow better. In summer and winter, although it has to be placed indoors, light is still indispensable. This is the best way to grow gardenia.

5. Fertilizer

Nutrients are equally important to it. To grow it well, you must provide it with sufficient nutrients. When it is growing rapidly, we need to apply fertilizer once every half a month. Bean cake or sesame paste residue can be used as flower fertilizer.

6. Pruning

Because of the complexity and overlapping of some branches, the growth of gardenia will also be affected, so if we want to grow gardenia well, we also need to perform pruning operations. This way you can keep it healthy.
