How to breed red larvae

How to breed red larvae

1. Beheading reproduction

1. Choose healthy branches

Among all its reproduction methods, beheading is the most commonly used method. First, we cut some branches with germination points, and then cut off a small section at a height of 3 to 5 cm. After cutting, we need to let the wound dry, and then we can start cutting.

2. Cuttings

After the branches are prepared, we can start cuttings. Generally, we can directly insert them into dry particles, and then water them after a few days. It won’t take long before many small roots will grow on its leaves. If the roots find suitable soil, they will sink deep into it, indicating that the beheading was successful. In addition, the biggest advantage of using this method of reproduction is that it can give the old plants a better shape. Patient flower lovers can try it. As long as the head is cut off, new sprouts will grow again.

2. Leaf cutting propagation

1. Selection of blades

First, we can find leaves from a relatively healthy mother plant, usually choosing the lower part of the stem, and then we can take off the healthy leaves on it. Never choose leaves that are obviously yellow or have damaged roots, otherwise, if they grow together, these unhealthy leaves will breed some bacteria and infect the healthy leaves.

2. Leaf cuttings

After selecting the leaves, we have to wait for 3 to 5 days before cutting them, mainly to allow the broken parts to dry in the sun. After they are dry, we can insert them into the soil. Don't insert them too deep, just insert them slightly into the soil so that the leaves can stand in the soil. After that we can wait patiently. Sometimes it will germinate earlier, sometimes later. As long as the leaves do not show signs of drying, melting, or mold, there is no need to worry. Just keep waiting.
