How to make dried azalea branches bloom

How to make dried azalea branches bloom

1. Picking branches

Before collecting branches, you must choose suitable plants. The varieties should be cold-resistant and easier to find in cold areas in the north. If the variety is not cold-resistant and cannot survive the freezing test, it will not bloom no matter how well you operate it later. When picking branches, do not destroy the main branches of the mother plant. Just pick the small branches that grow out from the side. Otherwise, if there are too many separated branches, the mother plant's ability to repair itself will not be able to keep up, which will affect its growth and not be worth the loss. The cut branches must have flower buds, because without roots, the branches cannot grow flower buds on their own.

2. Frozen branches

Put the picked branches in the snow and freeze them for a day. The dry branches will stop growing after being exposed to the low temperature environment and can be preserved.

3. Blisters

The treated branches can still bloom. When you want them to bloom, take out the branches and put them in a bottle filled with water. Just place it at room temperature around 20 degrees. It should be noted that almost all the nutrients of the branches come from water, so change the water every three days or so.

4. Nutrients

You can also add some nutrient solution when placing flowers on important occasions, because the nutrients in clean water are limited after all, and the tap water at home also contains substances such as sulfides. The flowers need full protection from the nutrient solution and they will bloom better.

5. Flowering

About ten days later, the flower buds on the dead branches in the vase will bloom into bright flowers. However, this kind of flower can only bloom once, and the dead branches will have no ornamental value after the flowers fade. Find a nice-looking vase, and pair the dry branches with bright flowers, which will complement the vase full of tranquility, creating a unique feeling.
