What kind of soil is suitable for planting green radish

Soil for green radish

Chlorophytum likes acidic soil. You can usually use soil containing ferrous sulfate, quicklime and wood ash, which is more suitable for its growth. If you change the soil later, it is best to use slightly acidic soil.

Pothos is not very picky about the soil, but it requires loose soil with good drainage. On the contrary, it does not have too many requirements on fertility. In other words, Pothos can be planted in ordinary soil or nutrient soil. The important thing is the management method in cultivation.

Method of preparing soil for green radish

1. Common nutrient soil configuration

When preparing the soil for the green radish, you can mix leaf mold, river sand and perlite in a ratio of 2:2:1 and disinfect it before use. You can also use pine needle soil for planting, or mix leaf mold, garden soil and coal slag in a ratio of 2:1:1 and disinfect it before use.

2. High nutrient soil configuration

You can use humus, fine sand, and a little perlite to prepare nutrient soil. This kind of soil has better air permeability and high nutrient content. In the later stage, only a little water-soluble fertilizer is needed to make the green radish grow well.

Changing the soil for the green radish pot

1. The best time for transplanting is spring

Usually, the pot for the green radish is changed once a year or every other year. It is best to change the pot when the green radish ends its dormancy and new buds sprout.

2. Change the flower pot to a suitable size

When repotting, you should choose a flowerpot according to the size of the root ball of the green radish. It is more appropriate for the diameter of the flowerpot to be 3 to 6 cm larger than the diameter of the root of the green radish.

3. Soil requirements

Pothos grows best in loose, slightly acidic and neutral sandy loam that is rich in organic matter. It can be made by mixing 70% leaf humus, 20% red soil, and 10% rapeseed cake and bone meal. The plant should be repotted every three years.
