1. Different appearance

The compound leaves are bipinnate, with 4 to 8 pairs of pinnae, and each pinna has many leaflets, about 10 to 20 pairs. This is the same as the Leucaena leucophylla, and the leaflets are also linear and oblong. It has a lot of seeds, which are black in color. The petioles are relatively flat and can be arranged vertically, with many sharp spines at the base. The flowers are also relatively small, but the color is light yellow, and occasionally white. It smells very aromatic.
