How to water basil

Watering method

During germination period: During this period, the soil in the pot should be kept moist, but not too moist. The environment at this time must also have a certain degree of humidity, so that it will sprout faster. You can cover the flowerpot with plastic film and open it regularly to water the pot soil.

Seedling stage: Careful care is required during the seedling stage. The most feared thing at this time is that the soil is too dry, which is not helpful for the growth of the seedlings, so the soil can be kept moist;

Summer: Summer is characterized by high temperatures and heat. Watering can be done once a day. The best time to water is in the early morning before the sun rises completely. Watering at this time allows the plants and soil to absorb water more thoroughly. However, if the soil is dry at night, watering can be done once. If it rains or other bad weather occurs, watering can be delayed or the watering interval can be extended.

Winter: If the temperature of the cultivation can be maintained at a normal temperature in winter, then you can water it normally, but if the temperature is lower, just keep the soil in the pot slightly dry.

Precautions

Although it needs a lot of water to grow, it does not mean that the environment it is in is humid, so a normal environment is sufficient and there is no need to humidify the air every day.

When watering, be careful not to allow water to accumulate.
