Planting methods and precautions of Sedum concave

The planting of Sedum concave-leaved is done by two methods: stem segment cutting and division.

The first step is to cut a stem about 10 cm long from a healthy Sedum serrata.

The second step is to cut off the leaves on the lower half of the stem and place the plant in a cool place for two days.

The third step is to prepare the flower pot, fill it with mud or charcoal mud, and insert the dried plant 4 cm into the soil.

The fourth step is to cover the plant with a shade net to prevent direct sunlight. At the same time, spray the plant with an appropriate amount of water every day to promote rooting.

Step 5. When the plant's roots and rhizomes grow noticeably, remove the shade net.

Step 6. About four weeks after transplanting, transplant the entire plant and maintain it normally.

Things to note when transplanting Sedum sedum:

1. Substrate: When transplanting Sedum serrata, the substrate must have smooth drainage. Generally speaking, river sand or charcoal mud is recommended as the substrate, with EC0.75~0.80 and PH5.6~5.9.

2. Soil temperature: Soil at 20℃~23℃ is most conducive to plant rooting.

3. Water: Before rooting, it is necessary to replenish water in time to promote root growth. But after rooting, be sure to control the amount of water, as too much water will cause root rot.

4. Sterilization: After cutting, please spray the sterilizer in time.

5. Growth rate: The growth rate of the plant cannot be too fast. If it grows too fast, it will cause deformation and death. Once the plant shows a tendency to grow too fast, growth regulators should be used to control it.

6. Transplant into the soil in time when the plant grows to the fourth week, because the nutrients in the substrate are limited and it is difficult to supply the long-term growth needs of larger plants.
