How to cultivate coral grass in pots

How to cultivate coral grass in pots

soil

When planting, you can choose some special culture soil for green plants or culture soil with neutral pH, and then add a little farmyard manure to increase soil fertility.

fertilizer

During the growing season, fertilizer should be applied every 15 days, which can be diluted organic fertilizer. Use hydrogen-potassium fertilizer once or twice before flowering. If the flowers are blooming particularly vigorously, there is no need to fertilize in winter.

Watering

When the plant is growing fastest, be sure to keep the soil at an appropriate moisture level and avoid waterlogging. Reduce watering in winter, and if the weather is too hot, you can spray some water on the leaves.

illumination

Coral grass loves plenty of sunlight, but it should also be avoided from direct sunlight.

prune

As for pruning, it is usually done once in autumn. This time, the branches and leaves can be cut as short as possible to allow new branches to sprout better. The soil should be changed every spring.

Reproduction

If you want to grow coral grass in a pot, you can propagate it first. If you choose to sow seeds, it is best to sow them in February or March. If you choose to propagate by cuttings, you should do it in March or April. Select some healthier 1 to 2 year old branches for use. You can use the cuttings when they grow to 10 to 15 cm. If it is division, it is recommended to propagate it when repotting in early spring.
