Seedling cultivation

Sow the seeds of snake fruit on the sand bed, wait until the seeds germinate, then transplant them into the container and cultivate the seedlings according to the conventional method. This seedling raising method cannot determine the sex of the seedlings and is usually used for sowing propagation of hermaphroditic snake fruit varieties.

Land Selection

Salak is best grown in woodlands at an altitude of 400 to 600 meters. The plant has high requirements for water and must be kept moist throughout the year.

Nutrient management

Salak needs to be fertilized twice a year, in the dry season and the rainy season respectively. You can use compound fertilizer containing a large number of elements.

Leaf number control

The cultivation of snake fruit requires control of the leaf trees. Some leaves can be removed, but the leaves under the fruit should be left to support the fruit. The cut leaves can be used as mulch on the ground to reduce soil erosion and increase soil nutrition.
