Why do longevity plum leaves turn yellow and fall off?

Why do longevity plum leaves turn yellow and fall off?

1. Strong light

Reason: Kalanchoe is suitable for growing in a semi-shaded environment and is afraid of strong sunlight. If it is suddenly exposed to the scorching sun, its branches and leaves will be burned, lose water and dry up, causing them to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: When the Kalanchoe is exposed to the scorching sun, it needs to be moved to a cool place in time, sprayed with water appropriately, and enhanced ventilation to promote recovery as soon as possible.

2. Improper moisture

Reason: Kalanchoe likes a humid environment and needs to be watered regularly during its growth. However, if the amount of water is not controlled well and too much water is given, the moisture in the potting soil will not be able to be discharged, and the roots will have difficulty breathing normally, leading to rot and causing the leaves to turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: Drain the water in time to promote evaporation.

3. Improper fertilization

Reason: It needs fertilizer during its growth, but once too much fertilizer is applied, the roots will find it difficult to absorb it, which will cause a burden on the roots.

Solution: You can dilute it by watering, and do not apply fertilizer for a period of time. If the situation is serious, you need to remove the plant and replace it with new potting soil.

4. Pests and diseases

Reason: If the plant is not properly maintained and infected with pests and diseases, this phenomenon will also occur.

Solution: Improve ventilation and spray pesticides to treat pests and diseases in time.
