Basic information on nasturtium sowing

It is generally more suitable to sow nasturtium from March to August, and the flowering period is from June to October.

Characteristics of nasturtium varieties

Nasturtium is a perennial plant but is often grown as an annual. The suitable temperature for its growth is 15℃-25℃. The plant is not tall, between 15-23cm, but the flowers are very showy.

Nasturtium is very suitable for potted or hanging pot cultivation. Its flower language means love is everywhere, but you are absent-minded.

How to sow nasturtium

Nasturtium seeds need to be soaked in advance to germinate. Soak the seeds in warm water for about 24 hours, peel off the skin, and use a paper towel to germinate. Wait until the seeds start to sprout before sowing.

Put an appropriate amount of soil in the container, water it thoroughly, and start sowing. Generally, the sowing container should be 7.5 cm in size, which can hold 2 seeds. After sowing, be sure to cover the soil, generally 1-1.5 cm is enough. You can spray some water to keep the soil moist, then place it in a cool and ventilated place, control the temperature at 15℃-25℃, and it will germinate in 1-2 weeks.

During the growth and flowering period of nasturtium, it requires sufficient light, watering when the soil is dry and timely fertilization. That way, the nasturtiums might be able to bloom before frost.
