How to repot a jade fan

How to repot a jade fan

Do I need to change the pot?

Jade fan needs to be repotted when it is being cultivated. In fact, there are only a few situations in which you need to change the pot.

One is that the jade fan is too big. When growing jade fans, as the growing time increases, the jade fans will gradually grow and can easily grow larger. At this time, the flower pot is no longer suitable for the growth of the jade fans and must be replaced in time.

Secondly, Jade Fan can be propagated by division and root cuttings in combination with repotting.

In addition, when there are problems with the growth of the jade fan, generally when the roots of the jade fan rot and the leaves shrivele, etc., these should be repotted in time.

Time Selection

Generally, the jade fan should be repotted in spring or autumn every year. Depending on the growth of the plant, it can be repotted once a year.

How to operate

When repotting the Jade Fan, take the plant out of the original pot, trim the rotten roots, and then replant it.

Because the jade fan is a plant with a relatively developed root system, when choosing a flowerpot, you can choose a deeper one. The soil is generally loose and fertile sandy soil. You can add some leaf mold, vermiculite or bone meal. If conditions permit, you can use Akadama soil, etc., which will have better results in cultivation. However, this kind of soil is more expensive and is only suitable for cultivating fine jade fans.
