If you choose young branches for cuttings, it is suitable to do so in June and July.

If we do cuttings in spring, we should cut off the top of the Osmanthus fragrans branches about eight to ten centimeters, retaining some leaves on the top of the branches. If conditions permit, we can dip some rooting powder, which can promote the rooting of the cuttings. Keep the soil slightly dry, and after inserting the branches into the soil, immediately water them thoroughly. They will take root in about twenty days. Cuttings can also be carried out in summer. The cutting method is the same as that in spring, except that the soil should be slightly dry after cuttings. On the other hand, water the leaves frequently.
