You don't need to buy gardenias, just break off a branch from your friend's house and you can grow a garden full of flowers

1. Soil culture cuttings

1. Cut strong and mature branches about ten centimeters long and keep two or three leaves.

2. The cutting medium can be sand or perlite, which makes it easy for gardenia to take root and is not easy to rot.

3. Plant the cuttings into the prepared substrate, water thoroughly and keep the soil moist.

4. Good air humidity can promote the rooting and germination of cuttings. You can create a small environment for gardenia cuttings as shown below.

After about a month, the gardenia will begin to take root.

1. Hydroponic cutting method

Prepare materials: plastic bottles, foam boards, tape, and a pot of gardenia.

1. Use a knife to cut the large Sprite bottle into the shape shown in the picture, leaving a little part uncut.

2. Select the young branches of gardenia grown that year, cut the lower end into an oblique shape, and keep the leaves on top. Then fix it on the foam board as shown in the picture. The foam board should be cut according to the size of the bottle.

3. Fill the bottle with appropriate amount of clean water, place the fixed gardenia foam board in the bottle, and let the lower end of the branch be immersed in the water. You can add a little more water, and then you don't need to add water anymore. Then seal the bottle with transparent tape, just make a toothpick-sized hole in the bottle cap.

4. Place the bottle in a sunny place with a higher temperature. The more water droplets there are on the bottle wall, the easier it will be for the plant to take root. Then you don't have to worry about it anymore, you just have to wait for the surprise. It started to grow roots about a week into the summer, which was really great.

5. After the roots have grown well, remove the transparent tape and place it in a place where the sunlight is not strong for a day or two, then you can put it in the pot.
