Clivia flowering period maintenance method

Clivia flowering period maintenance method

Flowering time

The flowering period of Clivia is relatively long. Sometimes it can bloom all year round, but the peak flowering season is between June and July in spring and summer.

Fertilize during flowering period

Clivia consumes a lot of nutrients during its flowering period, so it needs to supplement a lot of nutrients and fertilize during this period.

In fact, in order to ensure that Clivia has sufficient nutrients to bloom, reasonable fertilization is needed during the growth period. When applying fertilizer, you can add bone meal, fermented fish viscera, bean cake water and other materials. After the roots and stems absorb nutrients, it will help the Clivia flowers to have bright colors, significantly larger flowers, and thicker leaves.

Of course, the most important thing is fertilization during the flowering period. When fertilizing during the flowering period, be careful not to apply too much nitrogen fertilizer. Use phosphorus and potassium fertilizers as the main fertilizers. Using 1-2 times during the flowering period can ensure the normal growth of flower buds.

Flowering period light

During the flowering period of Clivia, sufficient light must be given, which not only provides the leaves with the needs for photosynthesis, but also is beneficial to the growth of flower buds.

During flowering, pay attention to the intensity of light. Under strong light, the flowers of Clivia will be more colorful, but the flowering period will be shorter. Under weak light, the flowering period of Clivia is slightly longer, but the color of the flower is dim.

During the flowering period of Clivia, appropriate lighting is very important, but strong light or weak light can also be chosen according to the personal preference of the grower.

Moisture, temperature

Clivia cannot lack water during its growth period, especially during the flowering period, it needs a lot of water, and the growth humidity should not be less than 60%;

The temperature during the flowering period must be kept balanced, at least not lower than 10 degrees, and preferably maintained at 15℃-20℃.

Okay, have you remembered what I told you? If there is anything else that I don’t know, please tell me if you know it!
