How to use water to grow lotus in water

1. Water with neutral pH value

When growing water lilies in water, you must use water that suits the growth habits of the water lilies.

Therefore, water with a neutral pH value can be used to grow water lotus, which will be more conducive to the growth of water lotus. When using it, there is no need to use test paper to measure the pH value. Generally, it can be used directly;

2. Tap water

The tap water you use at home can also be used to grow water lilies, but it should be noted that if you use tap water to grow water lilies, you must store it for 24 hours before using it, because tap water contains a lot of chlorine, which will affect the growth of the water lily plant and may damage the roots, hurt the leaves, etc.

3. Water temperature

The above two types of water can be used to grow water lilies after they are properly treated, but special attention should be paid to the temperature;

You can prepare a tank in advance, fill it with tap water, and then place it outdoors. This will ensure that the water temperature in the tank is basically the same as the water temperature in the pot. When the water temperature remains balanced, the bowl lotus can grow safely.

Does the lotus need to be watered regularly?

In general, it is not necessary to change the water when growing water lilies, so as to ensure that the nutrients in the water will not be lost, which will cause the growth of water lilies to lack nutrients.

However, water will evaporate, so you need to add water to the container on time and in appropriate amounts. Sometimes, there is a lot of green algae in the water after being exposed to the sun, and you may think it is too dirty. In fact, it doesn’t matter. In this case, the water lily and the algae will help each other grow, so there is no need to change the water.
