How to accelerate the flowering of daffodils

Flowering control

Daffodils usually bloom in winter and spring. If they are cared for normally, their flowering period will be relatively stable and they will bloom in 40 or 50 days. However, this is under normal conditions. If daffodils encounter abnormal weather, such as low temperature or insufficient light, flowering may be delayed. At this time, they need to be promoted to bloom and artificially regulated. The main method that can be used to promote the flowering of daffodils is to increase the temperature so that they can bloom as scheduled.

Flowering Methods

If daffodils are cared for normally, methods that can be taken to promote flowering include light and warming. During the day, place the daffodils outdoors in the sun, or place them in a well-lit place indoors until they bloom.

You can also use light to increase the temperature. Cover the daffodil pot with a transparent plastic cover and shine light on it to increase the temperature inside the pot. In addition, you can also use a heating device, such as a hair dryer or electric heater, and use the warm air to blow the daffodil plants to make them bloom and bloom for several days. But be careful not to let hair dryers damage the daffodil plants.

You can also use warm water to increase the temperature. Adding a small amount of warm water to the daffodil pot can raise the water temperature and promote flowering.

Delayed flowering

When talking about inducing flowering, we have to mention the delay of flowering period. Because both forcing flowers to bloom and delaying their flowering period are intended to allow flowers to bloom according to people's wishes, daffodils can also delay their flowering period so that they bloom when we need them.

The flowering period of daffodils needs to be delayed, usually because the temperature is too high. At this time, you can add some cold water into the daffodil pot, pour out the water at night, and treat it with low temperature, which can delay the flowering period.
