Four Seasons Maintenance Tips for Red Flower Jade

Spring and Autumn Maintenance

The red flower jade likes a warm, dry and sunny environment. It has the habit of growing in warm seasons and hibernating in cold seasons.

Spring and autumn are the growing seasons of the red flower jade. At this time, you can water it frequently and moderately to keep the soil moist. But don't water too much to prevent water accumulation and root rot.

At this time, the red flower jade should be allowed to fully receive light to facilitate its growth.

Summer maintenance

When watering in summer, you should follow the principle of "don't water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do", control the moisture level, and ensure the normal development of the red flower jade. During the rainy season, pay attention to drainage and maintain ventilation.

During the high temperatures in summer, proper shading should be provided to prevent strong sunlight from burning the surface of the sphere and damaging its growth.

Winter maintenance

The red flower jade is relatively cold-resistant and can safely overwinter as long as the temperature is not lower than 2-5℃. If the temperature is below 0℃, you can wrap the plants with cotton and straw, store them in a wooden box with the pots to keep them warm over the winter.

At the same time, the red flower jade is in a dormant period in winter, so you don’t need to water it and keep the soil in the pot dry. It can not only ensure its normal dormancy, but also enhance its ability to resist cold and frost.
