Controlling temperatureTo promote more flowering of orchids, the temperature difference between day and night should be increased to keep it at around 10℃. That is, the daytime temperature should be controlled between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius, and the nighttime temperature should be between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius. Note: If the temperature is high at night, the orchid's leaves will become soft and the flower buds will fall off. If the temperature is too low, it will cause blind buds and spots will appear on the leaves. Therefore, controlling the temperature is the key to more flowering. Control watering amountThe amount of watering is also a major factor affecting the flowering of orchids. Too much water will cause the plant to grow too tall and the flower buds to grow poorly. Lack of water will cause the buds to clamp. Controlling LightingLight is the main reason for promoting the formation of flower buds in orchids. The flowering effect of orchids varies greatly depending on the light intensity. Generally speaking, if you place the orchid under bright light during the bud formation stage, the red, dark red, and yellow colors will deepen when it blooms. When the flower buds first appear, the light intensity should be reduced as soon as possible to ensure that the flower color is more elegant, and then more light can be given again after the flowers bloom. Generally, orchids need 2 to 3 hours of light exposure. If the leaves are soft and moderately green, it means the light exposure is normal. If the leaves are dark green and soft, it means that more light is needed, and if the leaves are light yellow, it means that less light is needed. Drug stimulationStrengthening management during the orchid growth period and spraying the flower buds with flower strengthening agent can make the buds strong, the petals large, the flowers brighter, the fragrance richer and the flowering period extended. However, it is not recommended for ordinary family breeding to use this quick-success method. It is better to wait for it to bloom naturally! |
