How to care for the newly bought butterfly flower

How to care for the newly bought butterfly flower

1. Lighting

Butterfly flower is light-loving. After buying it, you can place it in a place with soft scattered light for cultivation, but avoid exposing it to strong light. Because it has just arrived in the new environment, it is relatively fragile, grows slowly, and is easily sunburned. After it adapts to the environment, slowly increase the light intensity.

2. Watering

When you first bring the butterfly flower home, its growth rate will be very slow and its demand for water will be small, so don't water it frequently. You can wait for the soil to become dry and then water it appropriately, about once every 4-5 days. After it resumes normal growth, you can resume the normal watering frequency.

3. Temperature

Butterfly flowers like warm environments. The most suitable temperature for their growth is 20-25℃. If the temperature can be controlled within this range, it can adapt to the new environment faster, and after a period of time, it can grow normally.

4. Fertilization

When you first buy the butterfly flower, don't apply fertilizer, because its root system is relatively fragile at this time and its ability to absorb fertilizer is poor. If fertilizer is applied, it cannot be fully absorbed, resulting in fertilizer accumulation, which can easily damage the root system. It’s not too late to apply fertilizer after the plants have adapted to the new environment.
