Pollination of Isuzu Jade: Selecting Plants

Before pollinating, make sure you have two flowering Isuzu jade plants.

Isuzu Jade Pollination: Picking Stamens

Cut off the stamens of the Isuzu jade flower, hold the stamens with tweezers and apply them to the pistil of another plant. The stamens are small, so you need to be more careful when operating.

The picture below shows what it looks like after pollination. Be gentle when pollinating and don't break the stamens.

After pollination, watch carefully as the middle part slowly grows larger.

As it slowly grows into this shape, the fruit will soon be ripe. Watch carefully and when the seed pods turn black, it’s time to collect the seeds!
