How to make your own fertilizer for growing flowers at home

How to make your own fertilizer for growing flowers at home

Nitrogen Fertilizer

Answer: Fertilizer is indispensable in the process of flower cultivation! The main function is to enhance nutritional growth and promote lush branches and leaves.

Symptoms of nitrogen deficiency: The plants are short and weak; the leaves are abnormal green colors such as yellow-green and yellow-orange, and the leaves at the base gradually dry and wither.

Preparation method:

You can smash and boil moldy beans, peanuts, melon seeds, leftover vegetable leaves, bean shells, melon and fruit peels, or expired and spoiled milk powder, put them in a small jar, fill it with water, and then seal it to ferment and decompose. In order to make it decompose as quickly as possible, you can place it in the sun to increase the temperature. When all the substances in the jar sink and the water turns black and has no odor (it takes about 3-6 months), it means that it has been fermented and decomposed. In summer, you can take out the upper layer of fertilizer water after 10 days. Remember to dilute it before use.

Phosphate Fertilizer

Answer: Phosphorus fertilizer can make the stems and branches of trees tough, promote the formation of flower buds, make the flowers large and colorful, and make the fruits mature early. It can also make the trees grow and develop well, produce more new roots, and improve their resistance to cold and drought.

Symptoms of phosphorus deficiency: Insufficient phosphorus fertilizer causes trees to grow slowly, have small leaves, reduced branches or tillers, small flowers and fruits, and late maturity. The veins between the lower leaves first turn yellow and then purple-red. When phosphorus is deficient, symptoms usually appear first on older leaves.

Preparation method:

Pour fish bones, egg skins, and freshwater fish scales into a tank, add an appropriate amount of fermentation agent (anaerobic type), then add a small amount of water, seal it, and after a period of decay and fermentation, it can be mixed with water for use. Appropriate phosphorus fertilizer can make the flowers bright and the fruits plump.

Can tea be used as fertilizer (potassium fertilizer)?

Answer: Tea water is rich in potassium and can be used to supplement potassium for plants! Potassium can enhance the plant's tolerance to various adverse conditions, such as drought, low temperature, salinity, pests and diseases, lodging, etc.

Symptoms of potassium deficiency: brown spots appear on the leaves, abnormal wrinkles occur, leaf edges curl, and finally the leaves become scorched and appear to have been burned.

Preparation method:

Leftover tea water, rice washing water, wood ash water, and water used to wash milk bottles. These are all excellent potassium fertilizers and can be used directly for watering flowers. They all contain certain nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, etc. and are used to water flowers and trees. They can not only maintain soil moisture, but also add nitrogen fertilizer nutrients to plants, promote the development of root systems, and effectively improve plant disease resistance.

1. Homemade flower fertilizer water must be diluted before use, remember!

2. There is no need to prepare these things deliberately. When we use them in daily life, just remember to save the ones you can’t use up!
