1. Clivia flowering time and flowering period

The flowering period of Clivia is from February to May every year. It is a green plant that is relatively easy to bloom. As long as you take good care of it, it will bloom easily. Its flowering period is relatively long, generally lasting 45-50 days. If well maintained, its flowering period can be extended to 60-70 days. In addition, it can bloom 2-3 times a year. It may also bloom from June to August in summer and from September to November in autumn.

2. How to care for Clivia when it blooms

1. Light: During the flowering period, it should be provided with softer light. It is best to place it in a bright place in the house to avoid strong light. This can help it synthesize nutrients and extend its flowering period.

2. Temperature: It likes a warm environment, and the flowers can bloom longer in an environment of 15-20℃. Therefore, when it is in flowering period, the temperature around it should be controlled within 15-20℃ as much as possible.

3. Ventilation: Keeping it ventilated allows it to breathe more fresh air, which is also beneficial for extending its flowering period. Therefore, it is recommended to open windows frequently during the flowering period to ventilate it.

4. Fertilization: When it blooms, you can apply 1-2 times of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Phosphorus and potassium elements can promote flowering. Applying some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can make its flowers bigger and last longer. But be careful to apply thin fertilizers and do not sprinkle the fertilizer on the flowers. Otherwise it may cause it to wither prematurely.
