2. How to plant Shanghai Green

Seed selection: When selecting seeds, pay attention to choosing seeds that are plump, strong and disease-free. The Shanghai green grown from such seeds will have higher quality. After selecting the seeds, soak them in warm water for two or three days to accelerate germination. After the seed coat becomes soft, transfer it to a well-ventilated environment with more scattered light to dry for one or two days. Generally, you can see the seeds germinate after five days.

Soil preparation: When planting Shanghai Qing, it is best to choose soil with good water permeability, looseness, fertility, and rich in organic matter. You can mix forest soil, humus soil, pond mud and fine sand in the ratio of 1:4:2:2. In order to enhance the nutrients in the soil, a small amount of organic fertilizer solution can also be applied to the soil.

Planting: Insert the germinated seedlings into the soil at a spacing of 20 cm and a row spacing of 30 cm, with the bud end facing downward but not too deep. After planting, you need to water it thoroughly to keep the soil moist, and then ensure that there is sufficient light.

Management: After planting, you need to water it once a day and loosen the soil from time to time to allow the soil and the water contained in it to fully blend together. Then, you can apply a small amount of urea solution to it one week after planting, and apply a small amount of compound fertilizer solution once every month.
