The difference between Areca palm and Phoebe bamboo

Areca palm

Areca palm is a clumping shrub of the genus Areca palm in the palm family. It is not cold-resistant and can generally reach a height of 2-5 meters. Normally, the stems and leaves are slightly yellow-green with waxy white powder on the surface. The lobes on both sides of the pinnate leaves of Areca palm are asymmetrical ( see the picture below ) . Flower lovers can carefully observe the rhizome of Areca palm and find that it is slightly yellow and the base is slightly swollen.

Phoenix bamboo

Next, let’s talk about Phoenix Tail Bamboo. Phoenix Tail Bamboo is a woody plant of the genus Bambusa in the Poaceae family and is relatively cold-resistant. The main stem of Phoenix Tail Bamboo grows relatively densely, and the stems are hollow. Its maximum height can only reach about 3m . Its leaves are dense and swaying, and some leaves are as thin as needles and shaped like a phoenix tail. Its branches and leaves are very lush and often bend the stems, forming a natural drooping state.

Flower lovers can imagine bamboo. The Phoenix Bamboo can give people a better feeling of bamboo, and it is not like the Areca Palm. Look at the picture below and it will be clear at a glance.
