When and how to plant Genda

When and how to plant Genda

Planting time of gendar

The planting time of Gendacai needs to be determined according to the local climate environment. If it is in the northern region, it is generally sown in spring, specifically around April, while in the southern region it is usually planted in autumn, specifically between August and September.

How to grow Genda vegetables

1. Soak the seeds to germinate: If you want the root vegetable to germinate quickly, you need to soak the seeds to germinate before sowing. You can directly soak it in warm water for about half an hour, then take it out and soak it in cold water for 24 hours.

2. Sowing seeds into the soil: When planting Gendacai, you can use the direct seeding method. After preparing the land, sprinkle the seeds on it and then cover it with a layer of soil.

3. Post-management: Gendacai has good adaptability and can emerge quickly after sowing. When the seedlings grow to 2-3 true leaves, thinning is required to avoid overcrowding.

Things to note when planting Genda vegetables

When caring for Gendacai, good management methods are required. When the seedlings grow to a certain height, they need to be thinned out with a spacing of 20-30 cm between plants. In the later management, watering is required in time to keep the soil moist.
