Cultivation methods and precautions of azalea bonsai

Cultivation methods and precautions of azalea bonsai

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: The plant likes loose, ventilated, moist and air-permeable soil. Acidic soil is most suitable for growing azalea bonsai, which can better promote the absorption of nutrients.

2. Water: It likes a relatively humid environment, so you need to water it frequently. It is best to water it in small amounts frequently to avoid waterlogging and affect its normal needs.

3. Nutrients: No fertilizer is needed when planting for the first time. After about a year of cultivation, some phosphorus fertilizer can be applied. This can provide it with sufficient nutrients and promote the plant to bloom colorful flowers.

4. Light: It should be placed in a place with sufficient light. Sufficient light can help it grow better and promote the growth of branches, making them thicker and more stylish, but it should also avoid direct sunlight.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Pruning: Usually, you should properly prune away weak branches and dense branches. This will not only make the tree beautiful and tidy, but also promote the absorption of nutrients by other strong branches and help them grow more vigorously.

2. Reproduction: Cutting propagation is often used in May, and the most suitable temperature is around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. Select strong branches and cut about ten centimeters, dip them in vitamin B12, dry them and then prepare for cuttings. After cuttings, spray them with water and keep them moist. Generally, they will take root in about 60 days.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Hawkmoth: After the azalea bonsai is cultivated, at the turn of spring and summer, the Hawkmoth will eat the leaves. If not handled in time, all the leaves on the plant will be eaten. Use a small stick to knock them off the branches and leaves and then bury them.

2. Red spider mites: When the weather is extremely hot, red spider mites are likely to be attracted. Generally, the problem can be solved by spraying them with diluted Bela.

IV. Other issues

1. How to spend the winter: When it is cold in winter, you can move it into a ventilated place indoors, and pay attention to keeping it warm and protected. This will not only allow it to spend the winter safely, but also allow you to enjoy it at any time.

2. Can it be placed indoors: Azalea bonsai can be cultivated indoors, but in summer, it should be protected from the sun and shaded to lower the temperature. In winter, it is necessary to provide ventilation and light, and increase the temperature appropriately.
