The difference between Jade Tree and Swallow Palm

1. Difference between stems

The trunk of the jade plant is fleshy and relatively thick, the bark is grayish white, relatively light in color, and has many branches. The new branches are brown-green and darker in color. The old stems of the Crassula are woody and gray-green, while the new branches are green.

2. The difference between leaves

The leaves of jade plant are oval, about 4cm long and 3cm wide, and are gray-green overall. The leaves of the Kusanagi plant are oval, about 3-5cm long and 2-3cm wide, and are narrower and longer than those of the Jade Plant. In addition, if the Kusanagi palm is placed in a place with good light, the edges of its leaves will turn red, but the Jade Plant will not.

3. The difference between flowers

The flowers of jade plant are tubular and white or light pink in color. The flowers of the Crassula ovata are white or light pink.
