How to grow green plum

How to grow green plum

1. Soil

Green plum is not very demanding on soil, but it likes to grow in sandy soil that is loose, well-drained and rich in humus. When planting, you can add some leaf mold to it appropriately.

2. Lighting

It likes light. If there is not enough light, the plant will not only grow tall and thin, but may also not bloom. More sun in winter will make the branches full and strong and the flowers colorful. It is recommended to place it on a balcony or in a well-ventilated place indoors for cultivation.

3. Temperature

Although green plum blooms in winter, it actually likes a warm environment and is of course also very cold-resistant. Generally, the temperature should be kept at around 20℃ in summer, spring and autumn, and not lower than 5℃ in winter.

4. Watering

It likes a slightly humid environment. When it is hot in summer, you can spray water mist around it to ensure the humidity it needs. In summer, it is generally sufficient to water the plant once in the morning and once in the evening every day, but water must not be retained to prevent water accumulation at the roots and cause rot. In spring and autumn, water the plants every 2-3 days, and in winter, extend the time appropriately and water them when the soil is dry.

5. Fertilization

When growing green plums, it is necessary to strictly control fertilizer and water to avoid excessive growth. Apply some dilute fermented bean liquid half a month after it sprouts, and then apply it every 30 days, and apply appropriate amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.
